CZ stands for Cubic Zirconia, which is a synthetic gemstone. The difference between a diamond and a CZ is that the diamond is a real gemstone. CZ weighs more than a real diamond and is more affordable.
CZ stands for Cubic Zirconia in regards to jewelery. It is a synthetic (created in a lab) alternative to diamond. The main difference between Cubic Zirconia and actual Diamond is the weight, hardness, and the pricing. CZ weighs more than a diamond of the same size, but is a lot less hard. CZ is usually referred to as "fake" or "faux", as it is not the real thing; but CZ is a lot more affordable than diamond.
Even with magnification, no. There are so many variations in diamonds that untrained individuals would not know what to look for. Cubic zirconia (CZ, zirconium dioxide) is similar to natural zircons (zirconium silicate). Some distinctions include weight (CZ is heavier), clarity (most CZ have no imperfections), and prism refraction (most CZ disperse light more than diamonds).
"CZ" inside a ring usually stands for "Cubic Zirconia," which is a synthetic gemstone that resembles a diamond. Rings with CZ stones are often more affordable than those with real diamonds.
The "10K" marking means the item is 10 karat gold. the "cz" marking means they are not diamonds but cubic zirconias. Real diamonds are rarely used in 10K gold or silver items.

Yes, CZ (cubic zirconia) is a man-made material that is almost as hard as a diamond and can scratch glass. However, it is not commonly used to cut glass as it is primarily used as a diamond simulant in jewelry.

There are thousands of tests you can do to find out the difference between cz and diamonds. If you put the gem near your mouth and breath on it, if it takes about 2-5 seconds to defog, then it is most likely cz, but sometimes jewelers put a layer of diamond around cz so it will defog instantly. You can also take the gem, place it upside down on a newspaper, if you can see the writing or anything close to it, it is fake. You can also use a jewelers loupe, cz under a loupe is flawless, diamond has very flaws that you can see. I hope this was helpful.
About two carats.
CZ or cubic zirconia are artificially created so they can have a perfect make. Make is the measure of craftsmanship when cutting the diamond. Since a CZ is not cut there really is no make.
When shopping for any type of jewelry, be it rings, earrings, etc., the term CZ refers to cubic zirconia. CZ is simulated diamond, and comes in a variety of grades.
