Hydrogen test - commonly know as the pop test
Basically you collect the gas in a test tube. Light a splint on fire and put it in the test tube with the gas, if you hear a "pop" sound and the splint goes out then the gas should be Hydrogen
Oxygen test
Collect the gas in a test tube, light a splint, but blow it out so that it is glowing. Then put it in the test tube with the gas, if the splint relights then the gas should be oxygen
Hope that helps :)
You got your terminology mixed up. Under normal temperature and pressure oxygen is a gas.
* if you are testing an unknown substance put a glowing splint in to the beaker and if it re-ignites oxygen will be present.
Test For Oxygen Gas
Take a lighted splint towards the mouth of a test tube if the lighted splint relights than its an oxygen gas,if not then its not oxygen gas.Other tests should be applied in that case.
Could you be more specific as to the gas you wish to test for:
ok just inhale. if you're still alive you've successfully detected oxygen gas.
Insert a glowing splint into the test tube. Oxygen will relight the glowing splint.
You need to try and relight a glowing splint. If it does relight, then there is oxygen gas.
It means the gas produced is oxygen.

A common way in the lab is to put a hot glowing wooden splint into the gas. If the splint flares into flames, the gas is most likely oxygen. But if it is in water this does not work.
Please phrase all of your questions in complete sentences. Thank you.
Bubble measurement is a test which can prove that pond weed produces oxygen gas. Pond weed releases oxygen and takes in carbon dioxide during the process of photosynthesis. The experimenter will find the outward-moving bubbles containing oxygen with which to oxygenate the plant in question's surrounding water.

A glowing splint will burst into flame/smoke in pure oxygen (using a test tube).

Set up a fire in the same box as the gas and see if the fire burns well. If it burns well, it is oxygen.
It means the gas produced is oxygen.
You could use spectroscopy as a definite method, or you could use an oxidizing agent that reacts with O2 (Oxygen), such as Iron, Nitric Acid, or halogen compounds.
