Well.... one of the many changes that were made to the periodic table was its appearance. It was coloured in in order for people to recognise the different groups. Red for Group 1, orange for Group 2 etc... Hope this helps. Jeremy Eric Slazkowski, Des Moines, Iowa The Periodic Table was first constructed around 1870 when the Russian chemist Dmitry Mendeleyev catalogued all of the known elements. The elements were arranged according to their similarities. More recently discovered elements were added, and the order of elements became based on their atomic numbers. The modern periodic table has much of the same information as the original one by Mendeleyev, but is arranged somewhat like a chart with elements having similar properties falling into columns called groups or families.

How did chemist change mendeleevs perioic table in the early 1900s?

Chemists in the early 1900s made changes to Mendeleev's periodic table by rearranging elements based on their atomic number instead of atomic mass, leading to the development of the modern periodic table. This change accurately emphasized the relationship between an element's properties and its atomic number, rather than its atomic mass, and helped to better organize the elements.

Main idea of mendeleevs first periodic table?

In Mendeleev's periodic table, the elements were arranged in the increasing order of their atomic masses and repeating periodic properties.

Why is the periodic table so valuablee for chemists?

Periodic table group elements with similar properties together. It makes study of elements easier for chemists.

What were mendeleevs discoveries and predictions and discoveries abot the periodic table?

Mendeleev predicted that properties of elements are periodic function of atomic mass. He demonstrated it by creating a table.
