∙ 11y agoThe Lewis Diagrams (AKA electron-dot structures) of elements in the same group have the same configuration of electrons around the element, since elements in the same group have the same number of valence electrons.

∙ 7y agoThey don't. Elements in the same period have different numbers of valence electrons but these are located in the same energy level (except for transition elements in which the electrons are in the n-1 energy level).

∙ 10y agothe electrons have something called the bumble effect which turns normal turtle shells into ninja turtle shells. Hope this helped.

∙ 11y agoThey are the same because they have the same number of valence electrons.
Wiki User
∙ 10y agoElements in the same group in the Periodic Table will have the same electron-dot structure (also known as Lewis dot structures) because they have the same amount of valence electrons.
Wiki User
∙ 11y agoThey show that the elements in a group have the same number of valence electrons, and that because of this, they form similar compounds.
Wiki User
∙ 6y agoIt shows similarities because it deals only with VALENCE electrons, and all members of the same group have the same number of valence electrons.
The name given to group 7 elements in the Periodic table are halogens.
There would be another hole in the periodic table of the elements...
Family. Apex
I dont know (idk) im askin u wht it means
A group (or family) of elements is a column on the Periodic Table. All elements in a group share the same sorts of characteristics. All elements in the same group have the same amount of electrons in their outer shell. Another example of physical characteristics is in Group 1 - Alkali Metals. They are all incredibly reactive in Water.A group (or family) of elements is a column on the Periodic Table. All elements in a group share the same sorts of characteristics. In the columns of the periodic table, chemical properties are similar.
Periodic means repeating. When Mendeleev was rearranging the elements, he noticed that some of their properties matched with one another about every eight elements. Thus, when the elements are arranged in the rows of the Periodic Table, they also have matching properties in each column.
182 I don't think there are compounds in the periodic table. As far as I know the periodic table contains only elements, compounds are formed by ionic/covalent bonding which is another story already. http://www.webelements.com/
Dmitri Ivanovich Mendeleyev. Another spelling of his name is Dmitri Ivanovich Mendeleev.
The periodic table organizes elements based on their unique properties and relationships to one another.
The periodic table of elements is all the known elements in the universe to us. For example, Iridium, we don't find much of it on earth, but we find it very frequently in asteroids. Hope this helped!

The alkali and alkaline earth and transitions are all groups of the Periodic Table ANOTHER POINT OF VIEW: A group or family is the vertical columns on The Periodic Table of the Elements.
