How do you bond polycarbonate?

Depends. Are you trying to make polycarbonate from scratch, or stick two pieces of polycarbonate you already have together?

If you're trying to make some polycarbonate, you do it in a factory. You start with bisphenol A. Wash the BPA with sodium hydroxide to prime it, then add phosgene. The phosgene will cause the BPA to turn into plastic resin. You do it in a factory because all three of the ingredients you use to make polycarbonate will go out of their way to kill you--in fact, phosgene was used in World War I to kill soldiers. Some things are better bought already made, and this is one of them.

If you have some polycarbonate pieces already, you can glue them together or weld them. You need to heat the joint to over 600 degrees F to weld polycarbonate, but a good plastic welding machine has no problem getting that hot.
