Ink fades in the sun because the sun breaks it down. The heat from the sun breaks down the molecules in the ink making it less vibrant.

Leave it in the sun as this will fade it eventualy. It will also make white paper yellow but who would want to fade white? You could also use an acid or just buy a lighter shade of paper!
