Liberal use of absorbent bedding like straw or wood chips is a good start.
Most feed and grain outlets sell organic deodorizers that will help but good clean management of the chicken coop will keep the smell to a minimum. In many cases it is over feeding and damp conditions that produce a sour smell and that is from the rotting chicken feed not the feces.

∙ 14y agoI own a gas station that has Skid-O-Cans. I use a product called What Odor? in them, and it works great completely gets rid of the odor in them. No doubt it will work for you.
