The manual mirrors are quite easy. On the inside of the passenger door, there is a black plastic covering where the mirror adjuster is. it pops off with a little wiggling.
there are three bolts with nuts on them, (if you look at your replacement mirror it makes sense) 1 bolt is exposed (10MM socket) and 2 are kind of under the door panel. Just pull the door panel out a little and you can access the bolts. (need a 10mm socket wrench for one of them). Once you remove the nuts the mirror pulls away. but you still have to remove the black adjusting mechanism. if you line it up correctly with the slots, and squeeze the sides it comes out with a little patience.
good luck.
there is no chip on the cobalt, you have to buy a performance reprogrammer from summit racing or Jeggs and reprogram the computer.
Cobalt (I) chloride = Cobalt monochloride = CoCl Cobalt (II) chloride = Cobalt dichloride = CoCl2 Cobalt (III) chloride = Cobalt trichloride = CoCl3
Cobalt is generally bivalent or trivalent. So either Cobalt (II) or Cobalt (III).
Cobalt Chloride, Cobalt Nitrate
Don't quote me on this - I'm just a Year 12 student trying to figure this out but... As I understand it the cobalt chloride does not actually react with the ethanol but rather the ethanol has an effect on the equilibrium reaction: Co(H2O)62+ + 4Cl-(aq) D CoCl42-(aq) + 6H2O(l) The ethanol separates the cobalt chloride from the water pushing the reaction towards the right hand side (blue) to restore equilibrium (Le Chatelier's principle). When water is added more H2O can react with the CoCl42-(aq) pushing the reaction back towards the left hand side (pink). I hope this helps and I'm sorry if I'm wrong!
