Most forensic laboratories would have an odor that would not be different than most offices. Other facilities like a morgue or autopsy room would be have different odors.
Forensic scientists typically wear lab coats, gloves, safety glasses or goggles, and closed-toe shoes to protect themselves from any potential hazards in the lab. They may also wear face masks and hairnets to prevent contamination of evidence.
The time it takes to analyze evidence in a forensic lab can vary depending on the complexity of the case, the type of evidence, and the workload of the lab. It can range from a few days to several months. Laboratories prioritize cases based on urgency and type of crime.
Depends on what the people working the lab have been doing recently. Once a year our school chemistry labs used to smell like oranges because we'd do an experiment to separate out limonene. The Physics labs always smelt of coffee (mostly because all the technicians used to go and sit in their prep room and drink coffee). As to the lab where I currently work - it varies. If someone's growing bacteria it smells of marmite, our tissue culture smells of cleaning chemicals, and sometimes it just whiffs of beta-mercaptoethanol (which stinks). I'm sure physicists might tell you their labs smell of nothing. The chemists probably have the most interesting smells of the lot, but again, it varies. Personally, if it whiffs too much and I can, I put it in a fume cupboard.
rayon is a synthetic fibre but smells like burning paper
Color does not have a scent. Smells are associated with objects, not colors.
forensics is like crime study......so a forensic lab is a lab where they can test stuff like DNA or anything else"crime related"
Forensic DNA sampling involves collecting biological samples, like blood or hair, at a crime scene. These samples are then analyzed in a forensic DNA lab to identify suspects or victims. The process is crucial in solving crimes and providing evidence in court.
Depends on the county or police department budget. It isn't like what you see in TV shows.
India's first full-fledged Forensic Science Laboratory was established in 1952 in Calcutta by upgrading the Chemical Examiner Lab started in 1840's.
most of the time yer
forensic scientists who are in the lab test DNA found at a crime scene to try and link a suspect to the crime scene. They test things like blood, hair, skin cells, saliva, etc.
forensic investigators
forensic immunology is used to study the age of skeletons in the lab. by testing for presence of antibodies in proteins. Indicates age at < than 2mos.
CSI is mostly forensic science, so, forensic scientists. Most are highly experienced in crime scene investigation, collection of evidence, and lab testing and results. Some are trained higher in things like chemical analysis.
