How do you get soap out of clothes?

You didn't mention if you were hand washing some of your clothes, or, you were washing them in the machine. If you are washing them in the washing machine then you are using too much soap. I use liquid soaps instead of powdered. I often find that powdered soap can stick to clothing sometimes and also clog up the hoses and drains faster. If you are hand washing then use a gentle detergent such as ivory or even baby soaps and let soak, drain out the soap water and replace with tepid to cool water (cold water gets suds out faster) then place your item you are hand washing on a thick towel (lay flat) and roll the towel up to get excess water out and then place the item on another towel that is dry and let air dry. When using your washing machine you should put in a box of baking soda and put through a cycle (you can also use some Dawn dish soap that cuts grease) and put your washing machine through a full cycle to prevent clog build up from soaps. I do this every 2 months.

Why is your washing machine staining your clothes?

Your washing machine may be staining your clothes due to a build-up of dirt, residue, or mold in the machine. It could also be caused by using too much detergent, washing clothes of different colors together, or using the wrong temperature setting. Make sure to clean your washing machine regularly and follow the manufacturer's instructions for optimal performance.

How to wash laundry in cold water?

I heard a radio program on NPR one day about laundry, and the person said that detergent made specifically for cold water washes are really much better for cold washing, and that aside from really dirty clothes, most of your clothes can be washed in cold water, using that special cold water detergent. Most laundry detergents are designed to be used in warm to hot water, and don't properly break down or clean well in cold water. But the specially designed cold water detergent is formulated differently.

How much bleach should you use in a washing machine?

Can dish soap ruin a washing machine?

Using a small amount of dish soap in the washing machine won't ruin it, but using too much can lead to excessive suds and potentially cause leaks or damage to the machine. It's best to use detergent designed specifically for washing machines to avoid any issues.

In the 'old days', a washing machine used 35-40 gal per load. These days, however, with more energy-efficient and water-conserving washing machines, most washers will do a load with 15-20 gal per load. 10 to 20 litres but if it was a huge washing machine it would maybe be 30 to 35.
