Best Answer

Boyle's law applies to an ideal gas which is compressible

P is proportional to 1/V

the stuff people put in syringes is usually liquid which (compared to a gas) is virtually incompressible. Also a syringe has a hole in it which makes it rather useless as a compression chamber suited to the study of Boyle's law.
