An electron doesn't have specific orbital path about an atomic nucleus. They move in specific energy levels that we identify as specific electron orbitals. But recall that the area where the electrons hang out is called the electron cloud. It's a "fuzzy zone" where electrons may be found. Electrons don't have specific routes about any atomic nucleus.

Where is each subatomic particle located in the atom?

Protons and neutrons are always found in the nucleus of an atom. Scientists over the years have speculated the position of electrons. The currently accepted model is the Atomic Orbital Model. This model predicts that electrons are found in sub-orbitals which are positioned in subshells. These subshells are located between principle energy levels.

What surrounds the core of an atom?

Electrons do surrounding the atom and rotate around the nucleus.

What is the difference between Bohr model and the electron cloud model?

Bohr's model depicts electrons in orbit around the nucleus. the electron cloud model shows orbitals within which an electron most likely is at any given time (the movement of electrons are random, and sometimes they get out of their orbital...i'm not making this up!). the electron cloud model is more accurate because electrons move closer and farther away from the nucleus, while the bohr model shows them at a given radius at all times.

Why cant electron exist in the nucleus?

When a nucleus is formed, the nucleons involved, that is, the protons and neutrons that are going to be forming the nucleus, are "squeezed" together in the fusion reaction. During this reaction, the stong interaction or strong nuclear force mediates the conversion of some of the mass of each proton and neutron that is going to make up the new nucleus into nuclear binding energy. The binding energy, or nuclear glue, is created from a bit of the mass of each nucleon involved through what is called mass deficit. If any electrons are present in the vicinity of the fusion reaction, they are "locked out" of the reaction by the strong interaction. The electron will not be permitted to become involved in the fusion reaction because it does not have the "right stuff" to participate. That is why no electrons can be in a nucleus. Note that in some kinds of nuclear decay called beta minus decay, an electron is created within the nuclues, and it is quickly ejected. The electron did not exist in that nucleus, but was created through the mediation of the weak interaction or weak nuclear force. A neutron was converted into a proton and an electron and an antineutrino, and then the electron was kicked out of the nucleus.

Do electrons surround the nucleus of the atom?

well electrons are negatively charged particles who are moving around the positive nucleus in elliptical circles which are technically called orbits, every electron remains with his nucleus until some strong force compells him to make bond with the neighbouring item and the result comes in the form of covelent bonds, ionic bonds etc. How many electrons are there in each shell(orbit)which can be calculated by the simple formula 2n2 where n stands for the number of the orbit in which electrons are moving likewise for first orbit put n=1 in the above formula you get answer 2 it means that first orbit contains maximum 2 electrons. put 2 in the above you get 8 and so on. This is a short version of electron orbit many more details will be in future if you have still some ambguity you can make a message to me at the following e-mail address shahqau1978@gmail.com it orbits the nucleus that consists of nuetrons and protons.

Is it true that electrons and protons of an atomo are located in the nucleus?

no the only thing located in the nucleus are neutrons and protons. Electrons rotate around the nucleus in orbitals or electron clouds.

What does a nucleus not contain?

An element's nucleus basically contains protons and neutrons. Electrons rotate around the nucleus of an atom.

Does a proton circulate around the nucleus?

NO!!! A proton does NOT circulate around the nucleus. It is part of the Nucleus. Proton(s) together with neutron(s) form the nucleus of an atom; collectively known as 'nucleons'. Electrons circluate around the nucleus as clouds in energy shells. With in the nucleus protons rotate within themselves. They are not static 'lumps' of charge. As an analogy, think of the Solar System. The Sun is the nucleus, and the Sun is known to rotate. The planets are the electrons circulating the Sun and the planets are also known to rotate; think of Earth.

What is in the nucleus?

Nucleus is part in one atom takes place at center. It have positive charge. The nucleus contain protons and neutrons. The electrons are rotate around nucleus within the definite orbitals.

Why electrons rotate?

It rotates around it's own axis and revolves around the nucleus. In Hydrogen atom it revolves around the proton.

Which particle is found outside the atom?

Protons and neutrons are inside the atom (nucleus). The electrons rotate around the atom.

Where electrons are placed in solar system model?

The electrons typically rotate around the nucleus in the solar system model.

Do the electrons go left or right?

Electrons were generally thought of as individual electrons that rotate around a nucleus; however, they look more like a cloud around a nucleus and are in all places at the same time.
