no its very strong because the smoke and gases which are given out from factories or industries into the air takes the form of clouds and these clouds have dust particles, some chemical mixtures that turn into smoke and are realeased to air etc. get mixed change into mineral acids more than pH of 1or 2

and these acids are really harmful, corrosive to plats buildings etc.

Why does polluted rain erodes limestones buildings?

Industrial air pollution is thought to form a weak acid with rain. Even such a weak acid is able to erode limestone buildings.

How does acid rain affect buildings?

it makes them weak and they break apart

What does the term acid rain?

acid rain is when rain contains weak carbonic acid. This rain, as it falls, picks up carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and the air. all rain is slightly acidic because of carbon dioxide but it does no harm to us whatsoever.

What is the PH of the weak acid?

The pH of a weak acid depends on its concentration. A weak acid solution with a higher concentration will have a lower pH, while a lower concentration will result in a higher pH. The pH can be calculated using the acid dissociation constant (Ka) of the weak acid.

Why acid rain is harmful?

Acid rain is harmful because it is acidic. Acids wear away materials and eat through animals and plants that are too weak to hold up.

Is acid rain a strong or a weak acid?

Acid rain is a weak acid, typically consisting of sulfuric acid (H2SO4) and nitric acid (HNO3). When it falls to the earth, it can lower the pH of soil and bodies of water, causing harm to plants, animals, and aquatic life.

Why is rain water naturally acidic?

Rainwater is slightly acidic because the CO2 in the atmosphere is soluble in water (the water in the air). When in solution CO2 forms a weak acid (Carbonic acid) which makes pure rainwater a weak acid.

Is acetic acid in acid rain?

Yes, acetic acid can be found in acid rain. It is a weak acid that forms when atmospheric pollutants like sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides react with oxygen and water in the air. Acetic acid can contribute to the acidity of rainwater along with other acidic compounds.

What is the difference between carbonic acid and acid rain?

Carbonic acid is a weak acid formed by the dissolution of carbon dioxide in water, whereas acid rain is rain with a pH lower than 5.6 due to the presence of pollutants like sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides. Carbonic acid is naturally occurring, while acid rain is a result of air pollution.

Is CHOOH a weak acid or a weak base?

The formic acid is a weak acid.

Is hypochlorous acid a strong or weak acid?

Hypochlorous acid is a weak acid. It is a fairly weak acid compared to strong acids like hydrochloric acid.

Is citrus acid a weak acid?
