Currently computers and software have gained a lot of space into the engineering companies, process industries and equipment design companies as well. at the beginning of computer era a few software engineers were able to use computers and software and now every professional try to learn how to improve or make faster and easier its job using software packages. Talking about chemical engineers. I consider that our process design skills can be improved quite high how we want. It was my expirience when I started to work in a process engineering company. At the beginning I was not able to draw a simple line using AUTOCAD but with the time I have become a a very skilled process designer just using AUTOCAD. I could say AUTOCAD makes process goes into reality. this exacts us to learn others skills that Chemical engineers do not have by formation such as space and geometric perception, detailing, graphics memory and mechanical design. However to know about process and equipment through UNIT OPERATIONS gives us a big advantage comparing to mechanical engineers. We can detail better process equipment than Mechanical engineers even to do fabrication drawings.

Summarizing AUTOCAD is very useful for chemical engineers who work designing processes and equipment. it is our main tool for our job

Which companies are employing chemical engineers?

Some of the companies that are employing chemical engineers are BASF, Clariant, Novartis, Shell and Degussa. Chemical engineers can work in chemical industry, manufacturing industry and pharmaceutical industry.

How does chemical engineering affect society?

Chemical engineering plays a critical role in society by contributing to the production of essential products such as pharmaceuticals, food, energy, and materials. Chemical engineers help develop sustainable processes that reduce environmental impact and enhance resource efficiency. They also have a significant impact on public health and safety through ensuring the quality and safety of consumer products.

Who uses stoichiometry?

Stoichiometry is used by chemists, biologists, and engineers to determine the quantities of reactants and products in a chemical reaction. It is an important tool in the field of chemistry for calculating precise amounts of substances needed for a desired outcome in a reaction.

What are the key differences between biomedical and chemical engineering, and how do these differences impact the career paths and opportunities available in each field?

Biomedical engineering focuses on applying engineering principles to healthcare and medical technologies, while chemical engineering deals with the design and operation of processes that involve chemical reactions. The key difference lies in their specific applications and industries. Biomedical engineers work in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and medical device industries, while chemical engineers work in a wide range of industries such as manufacturing, energy, and environmental sectors. These differences impact career paths and opportunities by offering distinct job roles, industries, and research areas for professionals in each field. Biomedical engineers may work on developing medical devices, prosthetics, or imaging technologies, while chemical engineers may focus on designing processes for chemical production, environmental remediation, or energy production. Both fields offer diverse career paths and opportunities for those interested in engineering and technology.

What is an important factor in all chemical reactions?

An important factor in all chemical reactions is the type and arrangement of atoms involved. The way in which atoms interact with one another dictates the outcome of a chemical reaction.
