Only if you get the firewood cheap or free ... I have been doing some research on this to see if it is a reasonable idea to manufacture compressed logs and I find that they are being sold at a price to compete with regular firewood prices or less than regular firewood and have a superior burn. because small sticks are thinner so that's why we use small sticks to start a fire and then use thick logs to keep it burning.
physical--no, it's chemical because a new substance is formed by burning logs/paper, and the new substance, ashes has a different chemical composition.
No. At least not inside. I was told by poison control after I had gotten carbon monoxide poisoning by burning a combination of store bought manufactured fire logs and real camphor wood. It was bad!
Large chunks of wood are difficult to start burning. Kerosene OTOH lights up easily. So a splash of kerosene is a simple way - but a bit dangerous - to get a fire going.
It actually looked like a cabin with normal logs going into the cabin and all the workers had to do is just check that the logs went in straight.
The materials used for manufactured fireplace logs are usually either: Compressed sawdust only or compressed sawdust and paraffin. Firelogs are designed to be inexpensive and also burn more efficiently than firewood.
They both r logs
Burning logs, or anything else for that matter, is a chemical change.

Mainly, you get experience - and eventually level up - by burning logs. You can buy high-level logs, for example magic (once you have the appropriate level) from the Grand exchange. You can also buy cheaper logs; in that case, it will take longer. One interesting option is to combine woodcutting and firemaking: you cut logs, then immediately burn them. No trips to the bank are required, and you don't spend any money (except for the hatchets).
There are a number of materials used to make fire logs. One material is lawn clippings mixed with oil or wax. Another material is sawdust. Fire logs can also be from Ash trees, where the wood is split and cut to shape then seasoned.
It all depends what level your firemaking is. if your firmaking was 60 (Just high enough to burn yews) you would have to burn just under 63,000 yew logs. I would suggest burning maple logs, you would have to burn around 93k but it's a lot cheaper, but if you want it done fast yews is the way to go.

Of course, burning any solid fuel generates air pollution.
Cooking an egg or burning logs on a fire.
Odysseus blind the Cyclops. The way he does this, is that he had seen some large logs burning in the cave. So, Odysseus and his crew had managed to lift up one of the logs and shove the burning end of the log into the eye of the Cyclops, which does NOT kill him, but does blind him.
