There is no such thing as "a carbohydrate, or many or few carbohydrates" Carbohydrate does not come in units, like vitamins or calories. It is like saying "Is a blood a polymer?" Same as you would say "Is blood a polymer?" the question is "Is carbohydrate a polymer?"

Simple carbohydrates (sugars) and complex carbohydrates (starches) are not commonly referred to as polymers, although the structures of each are somewhat similar.

The term "Polymers" generally refers to either natural (i.e. polyisoprene) or synthetic (i.e. polyamide) compounds in which there is a repeating structural unit created by polymerization. Polymers are also called plastics or rubbers.

Carbohydrate can be monomer or a polymer. Carbohydrate glucose is monomer while the carbohydrate starch is a polymer.
