Copper is ductile, but not overly elastic. Metals that elastically deform under a load will return to their original shape once the load has been removed, however if it plastically deforms the metal will not return to it's original position once the load has been removed. copper is a pretty ductile metal so it's more likely to plastically deform however there is a small amount of elasticity in copper. more elastic metals would be steels and especially spring steel. However other examples of elasticity outside that of metals is in rubbers and plastics as the elastic property usually results from long, chained molecules called polymers.

What of all these materials is most elastic iron copper quartz wood?

Copper is the most elastic material among iron, copper, quartz, and wood. It can be stretched significantly without breaking and able to return to its original shape.

What of all these materials is most elastic steel copper wood rubber?

Rubber is the most elastic material among steel, copper, wood, and rubber. Rubber can stretch significantly before breaking, making it highly elastic compared to the other materials listed.

What has the author Bertil Holmqvist written?

What elements are elastic?

Common elements that exhibit elastic properties include carbon, iron, copper, and aluminum. These elements have the ability to deform under stress, but return to their original shape once the stress is removed. Elasticity allows for various applications in materials such as springs, wires, and structural components.

Why is Elastic Clause called Elastic Clause?

It is called Elastic Clause because it can be stretched like elastic.

What is more elastic iron or rubber?

N0. The common belief is that if an object elongates easily the object is more elastic . But in Physics the object which gives more resistance to elongate is said to be more elastic . Such objects will have high Young's modulus . Steel is more elastic than copper . The Young's modulus for steel is 210 G Pa For copper it is 117 G Pa Elongation for steel is 35% and for copper it is 45% For rubber Young's modulus is 0.02 G Pa and elongation is 500 % During collision two clay balls will stick together. We call it inelastic collision . Two steel balls will rebound easily and the collision is elastic collision.
