Gin is a homogenous mixture because its appearance is the same throughout or it is in a single uniform phase. A heterogeneous mixture is composed of two or more components that are not uniformly distributed throughout the mixture. An example of a heterogeneous mixture is oil and water, or a bowl containing milk, cereal, and berries.

It depends when you examine it.

  • In the can or bottle (unopened) it is homogenous as the materials are all dissolved in the fluid and evenly dispersed.
  • When opened a gaseous separation occurs that spoils the homogeneous nature for the carbon dioxide (fizz forms). It becomes heterogeneous
  • When it goes flat after a period if the it is again homogeneous.

It would most certainly be considered homogeneous. That is, it is the same throughout. Even after opened, the homogeneity would persist, as far as solution chemistry is concerned.
