yes
It should do nothing to blue litmus, and it will turn red litmus a very soft purple, because it is barely basic
A shampoo labeled as nonalkaline typically has a pH value between 4.5 and 7, which falls within the mildly acidic to neutral range. This pH range is close to the natural pH of the scalp and helps maintain a healthy balance for hair and skin.
That depends entirely on the brand. Usually shampoo is a base and if it is not, then there is something wrong with that shampoo. Since they usually tend to be bases they are usually above 7 on the PH balance scale.
Shampoos are lighty acidic, with a pH between 6 and 7; with the Merck pH paper art. 9565 the color can be a shade of green.
A high pH in carpet cleaning can cause browning of the carpet fibers, or rapid re-soiling. Make sure that your carpet cleaning company uses a fiber rinse solution to rinse out the high alkaline pre-spray (carpet shampoo).
VO5 elixer shampoo
acidic and alkaline
Shampoo is slightly acidic to help maintain the natural pH balance of the scalp, which is around 5.5. An acidic pH helps to keep the hair cuticle closed, which makes the hair smoother and shinier. It also helps to prevent irritation and dryness on the scalp.
acid PH closes the hair cuticles and alkaline PH opens it shampoo is more alkaline and conditioner is more acidic
It's talking about the pH of the shampoo itself. You shampoo's pH should be around 5-7, which is the pH of your skin (which is the middle of the pH scale). Acidic and Alkaline are the opposite ends of the pH scale, when it says Non alkaline shampoo, it means it's not high on the pH scale so it won't damage the cuticle at all. See relaxers are real high in Alkalinity
Yes, most shampoos are slightly alkaline. However, each shampoo is different, and your best bet is to check the ingredients used at the back of the bottle to make sure.
acid PH closes the hair cuticles and alkaline PH opens it shampoo is more alkaline and conditioner is more acidic
i believe the answer is 3 because it cant be 7 because its neutral.. 12 is a base and its an alkaline (i think?) and ur lookign for non alkaline...which means an acid which is from 1-6 which is 3

1. When you wash your hair. Shampoo is acidic and conditioner is alkaline (or vice versa?) and so they both neutralise each other.
