By adding gas to the container until there is 100 times as much in there as you started with. The gas you are adding must be at a higher pressure than you're trying to achieve; if you're trying to take a container from 15 psi to 1500 psi and your gas supply is at 250 psi, 250 psi is all you're getting.

Increase the temperature; or heat it up.

Or add more gas.

Increase the temperature inside the container, or decrease the volume of the container by deforming it in some way, like crushing a can.

How do you increase gas pressure?

PV = nRT or (Pressure) = (moles of gas)x(universal gas constant)x(Temperature)/(Volume). Thus to increase pressure: increase the amount of the gas, increase the temperature of the gas or decrease the volume of the container in which it is held.

How does temperature effect the pressure of a gas?

If the volume of the container is not fixed, increasing the temperature will cause a gas to expand (increase the volume), and contract when cooled (decreasing the volume). This would be the case for a gas inside a piston, or inside a rubber balloon. If the volume is fixed, then increasing the temperature will increase the pressure, and decreasing the temperature will decrease the pressure. This would be the case for a gas in a closed solid container, like a canister or sealed metal box. Increasing pressure will cause the gas to contract (reducing the volume), and decreasing the pressure will cause the gas to expand (increasing the volume). Again, this is if the volume is not fixed. If the volume is fixed, then increasing the pressure will increase the temperature, and decreasing the pressure will decrease the temperature. These concepts are all determined by something called the Ideal Gas Law. To find out more about how this works, see the Related Questions links below this answer. Gases can also be changed to a liquid or solid if the temperature is too low or the pressure is too high. As an example steam changes to a liquid when it touches a cold object, and nitrogen gas can be converted to liquid nitrogen by compressing it to very high pressures.

Is the pressure exerted by gas a result of the ideal gas law?

No, pressure is the result of molecular collisions by gas molecules on the walls of a container. The gas laws are merely ways of mathematically quantifying those collisions etc.

What are two ways to change the solubility of a solute?

i believe you decreas or increase the tempertature or pressure, but don;t quote me on this. HOPE THIS HELPED :)

Do the pressure of a gas decreases with increasing temperature?

If the temperature remains constant, decreasing the volume will increase the pressure.

What are different ways to manipulate air pressure?

Five ways:Temperature (increase in temperature means increase in pressure.)Velocity (increase the speed means decrease in pressure.)Amount of air particles (more particles means more pressure.)Changing the container (More space means less pressure.)Altitude (increase in altitude means decrease in pressure.)

How can the pressure of a gas increase?

Primarily in two ways. If the volume is decreased, the pressure will increase. Also, if the temperature increases at a constant volume, then the pressure will increase.

List ways to increase pressure on a object?

Classically ... squeeze it or heat it.

Why would pressure rise in pressure tank?

The only two ways that come to mind are a temperature increase in the tank, or an increase in pressure in any feed lines supplying the tank.

How do I increase the battery of my phone?

One of the best ways to increase the battery life Is to make sure each application is closed. You can close them by holding the back button and manually closing them. When you go away from an app, it is not immediately closed.

What do you do to increase the amount of pressure by whwere the force is applied?

Since Pressure is Force per Unit Area (P = F/A), there are intuitively two ways to increase pressure. You can either keep the area constant and increase the force being applied, or keep the force constant and decrease the area on which the force acts.

What is Effect of relative humidity on water evaporation?

humidity effects the evaporation in the following ways: 1. In a closed container rate of evaporation will have a lesser value than usual.but there will be no decrease in the rate.
