The molecules inside have inadequate freedom and can only leave uncommonly or with great effort. As long as a liquid has some surface area exposed to the atmosphere, here and there a particle within the liquid near the surface will be moving fast sufficient. sry ifthis didnt help

What are viscosities?

A kind of liquid that resist to flow like water because of the atoms that does friction between themselves which makes it harder.

Is hand cream a solid?

Hand cream is not a solid. Part of it`s Atoms are flowing like i a liquid

What is the difference between solid and liquid is the kind of atoms in the material?

The atoms in a solid are in a tighter formation that as they are in a liquid. In a liquid, They are loose and have the ability to pour.

Is friction caused by gravity?

No, friction is caused by the electrostatic attractions between atoms on contacting surfaces and physical surface irregularities. Gravity has no effect on friction.

Are the atoms in liquid sulphur the same as in solid sulphur?

Yes, they are the same atoms, but they have more energy as a liquid, and so don't bond in the same way. Its the bonds between the atoms that changes.

What is the only difference between liquid or molten steel and solid steel?

Energy. The atoms in solid steel are moving more slowly than the atoms in liquid steel.

What is the difference between liquid and solid steel?

the only difference is the energy of the atoms

What is the difference between a liquid and a gas?

a liquid's atoms stay close together, while the atoms in a gas tay spaced out and far aprt to fill up a whole spacegas is in the air and you cant see it. liquid is water

What are the differences between solids and liquids and gases?

the differences in these three items is that solid atoms are tightly compacted together liquid atoms are freely put move at a slow rate, then the gases atoms a freely just like the liquid atoms but the gases atoms move at a faster rate

What is the difference between a solid and a liquid?

Atoms of a solid are closer to one another, and do not have the energy to shift positions. The atoms of a liquid are more loosely connected, and can adjust to various physical shapes.

Does solids have atoms that hold it in place?

All matter is made of atoms. Liquids, solids and gases are all made of atoms. It is the bond between atoms that make a substance solid or liquid.

How do the bonds between particles in a solid compare with those in a liquid?

solid is more compact and liquid is more lose so that the atoms are able to slide over one another.
