If you remelt the unscented candle down, you can scent the Candle by using the correct measurement of Fragrance oil to scent the candle, then re-pour the candle in a container and let it sit and cool. Use 1oz of Fragrance oil per lb of wax for your candles.

No. It just makes the wick burn slower. However, technically part of the candle is "destroyed" hence why you can smell the scent of the candle.
One of my favorite Yankee candle scents is Fireside. They retired the scent for a time and now it is back. It has been back for a year and is a very welcoming warm scent without the "sweetness" of perhaps a vanilla scent.
