A hot spot is in earths mantle.a hot spot is an area where material from deep within the mantle rises and then melts, forming magma and volcano forms above a hot spot when magma erupts and reaches the surface.
The tectonic plates underneath are turning over and over again then they push together which makes a mountain like thing... The magma underneath fills up then suddenly bursts out then...BOOM...it erupts.
Hot Spots are volcanic regions...
Famous Hot Spots
1. Yellowstone Caldera
2. Island of Iceland(only hot spot on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge)
Hot spots are breaks in the Earth's crust where magma comes through. This usually happens in the ocean, like the Hawaiian islands. Volcanoes form over these hot spots as lava piles up and cools on top of itself. In the case of Hawaii, the tectonic plate moved slowly over a hot spot in the Pacific Ocean. As time went on, the lava built up enough to form islands, and this is still happening today. Another island is being formed now in the chain of Hawaiian islands. I forgot the name, but if you need it, you can search for it.
Another possible location for hot spot volcanoes would be the Ring of Fire, encircling the Pacific Ocean. This ring includes volcanoes from Japan, Alaska, and South America.
Magma from deep within the mantle melts through the crust which is what causes hot spot volcanoes to form
As you know, the Earth's crust constantly releases gases. It has to come out of somewhere. Hotspot volcanoes are easy passageways for the gas to escape, so it will use that path often.
There are hotspots deep within the mantle of the Earth. We don't know for sure why they are so hot, although a reasonable guess would be that they are sites of radioactive minerals.
A hot spot volcano in the ocean floor can gradually form a series of volcanic mountains
A hot spot is formed on or near a plate boundaries.
Generically they are places where a source of heat is concentrated.
Rising magma somewhere inside the borders of a plate
heat causes pressure, pressure causes friction, friction causes spark, spark causes KABOOM! all in a split second
Matter causes a change in state
An increase in temperature of the substance causes it to expand.
What causes a high PH level in the blood
what causes particles to slow down and contract
Actually rain causes concentrated "hotspots" of fallout.
8 biodiversity hotspots are found in africa
I travel a lot and you can connect to loads of hotspots, not just boingo hotspots but other operators hotspots across the world. I would recommend
Hotspots for tornadoes can be found in the Central U.S., Florida, Bangladesh, and South Africa.
There are a number of hotspots in Cape Town. For a website with various updated information on hotspots throughout the world, see the Related Link.

Hotspots are thought to form due to mantle plumes. This is the upwelling of high temperature material from deep within the mantle. This high temperature material causes partial melting of the shallow mantle and overlying crust leading to a "hotspot" and volcanism.
There are hotspots in Future Shops, and look for hotspots in http://www.jiwire.com/search-hotspot-locations.htm
