Sulfur is normally a yellow mineral, also with a yellow streak. However, there are several allotropes of sulfur. Melting sulfur and then suddenly cooling it again produces a rubbery reddish solid which gradually turns yellow and brittle. Gaseous sulfur is actually bluish.
