Ductile simply means something that's flexible - not rigid. for example, ductile iron pipes are used underground because they have a certain amount of 'give' when heavy objects are placed on them - Instead of breaking, they bend slightly under the weight. Malleable means 'able to be moulded'. Things that are malleable are easily moulded into other shapes.
