I never really believed in all the "drop the stick and you get bad luck" and I've cheered since I was 3 years old and this summer at cheer camp my sophomore year one of our girls dropped it and at camp 4 of our girls had to go to the hospital and one got sick and couldn't cheer with us and every since the season started we have had at least 2-3 cheerleaders out every week due to injuries and we only have 15 girls so I'm starting to believe it...

When you drop one drop of water on waxed paper, the water will bead up and form a circular shape due to the hydrophobic properties of the wax. This occurs because the wax repels the water, preventing it from spreading out or being absorbed into the paper.
If you put a drop of iodine on a piece of paper, it will react with starch on the paper turning it blue-black. This is a common test for the presence of starch.
The drop shape in water is formed due to surface tension, which is the cohesive force between water molecules at the surface. This force causes the water molecules to stick together and form a spherical shape, as it minimizes the surface area and maximizes the volume of the drop.
It's a chemical change--there's a glass ampule in the glow stick. and it's got one chemical in it. Around it is another chemical. When you break the glow stick the two chemicals mix, and the glow happens.
Pick it up and go on. You would not be the first or the last...

Have all of your cheerleaders join hands in a circle and have them say this chant. We cheerleaders join together to put cheer spirit back into our spirit stick. They must announce their names and state that they are giving part of their spirit back into the stick. They all must say "We have spirit, We have pride" five times. Then they must shout Go (Their Team)
