They Neutralize each other and produce a gas. A way to test this is use an empty bottle of water and put lemon juice in it, then get a balloon and pour 3 grams of baking soda in the balloon. Stretch the balloon over the top of the bottle with out spilling any baking soda in the bottle. Once the two are connected you can empty the balloon into the bottle... when the balloon expands it's showing you that carbon dioxide has been created.

What happens is water and a salt form. Like, for instance, Hydrochloric acid and Sodium hydroxide react...well, these 2 nasty chemicals to form a salt water:

HCl+NaOH->H2O+NaCl! amazing, huh?
