It depends on the PH strength of the alkaline solution, 14 is very strong, 8 weak. Also the amount, for example a lot of pH 14 will probably corrade your retener and you will go blind, but a little of strength 8 is practically water so won't do much. Whatever it is though, wash thoughourghly with warm water and see a doctor!

What happens when acidic solution react with alkaline solution and how?

When an acidic solution reacts with an alkaline solution, a neutralization reaction occurs. The hydrogen ions (H+) from the acid and hydroxide ions (OH-) from the base combine to form water (H2O). The resulting solution is neutral, with a pH of 7.

What happens to the concentration of hydroxide ions in an alkaline solution on repeated dilution?

When an alkaline solution is repeatedly diluted, the concentration of hydroxide ions decreases. This is because the amount of the alkaline substance is being spread out in more volume of solvent, resulting in a lower concentration of hydroxide ions in the solution.
