In quantum mechanics, when applied to an isolated atom, an allowed orbit can refer to the spacial path of an electron which satisfies the Schroedinger Equation. This allowed path can be interpreted as the balance between kinetic energy (electron motion) and potential energy (proximity to nucleus) which returns a single energy. In band theory of solids, allowed states are defined by the bragg diffraction condition, which is constructive or destructive interference based on wavelength. Since electrons can be regarded as a particle or wave, an electron with a certain momentum has a wavelength (classically defined as: p = mass x velocity, but de broglie relation: p = constant / wavelength). Since there is a set distance between atoms in a material, this spacing determines which wavelengths destructively interfere, or cannot propagate, throughout the material. This means that electrons at a certain kinetic energy (related to motion) cannot exist, given the position of atoms. It should be noted that the "allowed states" in multi-atomic systems are a continuous range (or "BAND") of kinetic energies that an electron can adopt in a material. As there are FEWER atoms that comprise the material, the BAND thickness of allowed states grows NARROWER. In the case of a SINGLE atom, the continuous range collapses to a single line, corresponding to ONE energy of an allowed orbital. References: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Band_theory
This is a term from the field of Quantum Mechanics which describes how the plane of an orbiting electron, in an atom, can only have a certain number of orientations. For example; if you take a vertical line as the center of the orbit, then the plane of the orbit might be perpendicular to the vertical line. Or it might be tilted 30 degrees from the vertical. Or it might be tilted 60 degrees from the vertical. Whatever the allowed angles might be, the idea is no other angles are allowed. So rather then a "continous" range of allowed angles, there are instead only a few "quantized" allowed values. Since this quantization refers to orientations in space it is called "space quantization".
In the 1st orbit, there are 2 electrons and in the 2nd orbit are 5 electrons.
Applied biochemistry is that part of the field in which the knowledge and techniques are applied to the real world.

No, the drinking age is applied nation wide.
Matter vibrates because of the application of energy. If the energy applied is enough, and an electron is smashed out of its orbit, you will get light.

Eccentricity can describe the displacement of an applied force to an object from a line of action. The vectors pertaining to the orbit of a planet. Or non-normative behavior in a person.
