In chemistry, Tg is the glass transition temperature of an amorphous polymer. It is the individual polymer's fixed temperature at which point it either becomes flexible when the actual temperature of it is higher than the Tg, or it becomes rigid, when the actual temperature is lower than its Tg.

An amorphous polymer is one whose structure is tangled.

Tg is the cause of polymer items breaking. Leave a plastic bucket outside in winter and it can easily break in its rigid state, frozen or not.

What is tg on the periodic table?

Tg is not a standard abbreviation for any element on the periodic table. Each element is represented by a unique symbol (e.g., H for hydrogen, O for oxygen). If you provide the atomic number or name of the element you are looking for, I can help you locate it.

What is the answers of TM and tg in chemistry?

In chemistry, TM typically refers to transition metals, which are elements in Group 3 to 12 of the periodic table that have partially filled d orbitals. "Tg" could refer to the glass transition temperature, which is the temperature at which an amorphous material transitions from a hard and brittle state to a rubbery or viscous state.

What is the melting point of Kevlar?

Kevlar does not have a melting point, as its polymers disintegrate before they could ever reach such a point.

What gas burns with a blue flame?

Natural gas burns with a blue flame due to its high concentration of methane. The blue color is a result of complete combustion, indicating that the fuel is burning efficiently.

What is hard monomers and soft monomers?

The monomer can be categorized into three classes. The first two classes are characterized by their respective Tg values. Soft monomers, characterized by low Tg values, include n-butyl acrylate, 2-ethyl hexyl acrylate and iso-octyl acrylate. These monomers are longer chain alkyl acrylates and exhibit low water solubility (i.e., high hydrophobicity). Hard monomers, characterized by high Tg values, include styrene, methyl methacrylate, ethyl acrylate and methyl acrylate. The third class is the functional monomer with various functional groups, such as carboxyl or hydroxyl. Examples of functional monomers are acrylic acid and hydroxyethyl acrylate, which are very water-soluble. The hydrophobicity of the hard monomer depends on the monomer structure. Methyl acrylate and ethyl acrylate, which are short-chain alkyl acrylates, have higher water solubility.

How many different kinds of gametes can be made by an individual with the genotype TtGG?

Four different kinds of gametes can be made by an individual with the genotype TtGG. This is because during meiosis, the two homologous chromosomes in the genotype TtGG can segregate into four possible combinations of gametes: TG, Tg, tG, and tg.
