Can Isopropenol alchol remove or dissolve paint from metal surfaces?

Isopropyl alcohol, or isopropenol, is not a good choice for removing paint. It is midway between water and gasoline, chemically speaking. One end is polar, like water, while the other end is non-polar, like gasoline. Buy a commercial paint remover and protect yourself from the powerful chemical with eye and hand protection. Don't breathe any more of it than you absolutely must. The cumulative effects over your lifetime of breathing bad stuff can do you great harm.
