Darkening
To make colors darker, you can add black to the original color. This process is called shading. Alternatively, you can mix the color with its complementary color (opposite on the color wheel) to darken it.
To make black from purple, you would add a dark shade of blue, such as navy or indigo, along with a small amount of black paint. This will deepen the color and darken it to create black.

When you add bicarbonate of soda to black tea, the tea will turn a greenish-brown color due to a change in pH levels caused by the bicarbonate of soda. This may vary depending on the concentration of the bicarbonate of soda used.

To turn green black, add black.
