Sulphur and sulfur are alternate spellings. Sulphur is more popular in Great Britain. It's similar to the difference between Colour and Color, except that sulphur is clearly and unambiguously wrong, as determined by IUPAC.

Not that IUPAC always gets it right... "aluminium" indeed... but at least they're definitive.
