BDS - Base deactivated Silanol
ODS - Octadecyl silane
by using the BDS column, residual silanols deacivated and silanol
activity reduced, it is end-capped column and it is good for
basic compounds.
ODS is normal column and high acidic silica, it is not suitable for basic
compounds.
NP-HPLC is "Normal Phase" HPLC, wherein the solvents used are less polar than the substrate in the HPLC column (e.g. using hexane or dichloromethane with a silica HPLC column). RP-HPLC is "Reverse-Phase" HPLC, wherein the solvents used are more polar than the substrate in the HPLC column (e.g. using Water and Methanol with a octadecylsilane (ODS or C18) column).
The main difference between Inertsil ODS-3V and ODS-4 columns lies in their properties and selectivity. ODS-3V columns have a higher carbon load, providing greater retention and increased hydrophobic interactions for a wider range of compounds. On the other hand, ODS-4 columns have a lower carbon load, which can result in lower retention and improved selectivity for certain compounds. It's important to choose the column based on the specific analytical needs of the application.
The ozone layer is diminishing because of the excessive use of ozone depleting substances by the humans. These ODS contain chemicals which react with the ozone in the ozone layer and deplete it.

The main difference between ODS (octadecylsilane) and BDS (butylsilane) columns lies in the nature of the functional groups attached to the silica support. ODS columns have hydrophobic octadecyl groups which interact mainly through hydrophobic interactions, while BDS columns have more polar butyl groups that interact through a combination of hydrophobic and polar interactions. These differences can affect the selectivity and retention of compounds in column chromatography.

The population of ODS-Petrodata is 100.
ODS-Petrodata was created in 2002.
The Full form of the acronym ODS is operational data store
To protect ozone, stop using ODS. CFC's is one of the main ODS.
ODS stands for Ozone Depleting Substances. These include freons, CFC's etc.
Minimizing the use of ODS has led to the need of other products. We can minimize ODS by using their alternates.
Various phenomenon affect ozone. The three are : UV rays, Man made ODS and natural ODS.
