Physical Property: The appearance of the object changes, but the chemical remains the same. Such as the color, size, mass, smell, etc.

Chemical Property: The chemicals inside change. The substance is the same as it was before, but doesnt looks the same. For example, a ice cube that melts to a liquid. The appearance did change; however, its still has the same substance as before, which was water.

Is malleability an example of physical properties or chemical properties?

Malleability is an example of a physical property. It refers to the ability of a material to be reshaped without breaking. Chemical properties, on the other hand, describe how a substance interacts with other substances in chemical reactions.

What happens to the chemical and physical properties of a substance formed in a chemical reaction?

The chemical properties of a substance change during a chemical reaction, meaning the substance undergoes a chemical change and forms new substances with different properties. The physical properties may also change, such as color, texture, or state of matter.

Which type of properties is easier to recognize physical or chemical?

Physical properties are generally easier to recognize compared to chemical properties because physical properties can be observed or measured without changing the substance's chemical composition. Examples of physical properties include color, size, shape, density, and melting point.

Are properties such odor color density and solubility physical or chemical properties?

Color and density are physical properties. Odor and solubility are chemical properties.

Are boiling points and freezing points examples of chemical properties?

No, boiling points and freezing points are examples of physical properties, not chemical properties. Chemical properties describe how a substance interacts with other substances to form new substances, while physical properties describe characteristics that can be observed without changing the chemical composition of the substance.

Is burning a tortilla chemical or physical change?

Chemical; you are changing the physical properties of the tortilla. Physical would be just warming or cooling it for example

Is zinc a physical property or a chemical property?

Zinc is not a property; it is a substance. Like all substances it has its own set of physical and chemical properties.

Which states have chemical and physical properties?

Every state of matter (solid, liquid, gas, plasma) has both chemical and physical properties. For example, a solid's physical properties include shape and density, while its chemical properties refer to its reactivity or ability to undergo chemical reactions. Similarly, a liquid's physical properties include viscosity and boiling point, while its chemical properties determine its ability to interact with other substances.

Does chemical and physical properties are probably the same?

No. Chemical and physical properties are different.

When do the physical and chemical properties change?

Physical and chemical properties change as the result of a chemical change, which produces new products with different physical and chemical properties than the reactants.

Is explosive is a chemical or physical properties?

An explosion is an example of a chemical change because the arrangement of the atoms has been altered.

Is a boiling point an example of chemical properties?

No, boiling point is a physical property, not a chemical property. Chemical properties describe how a substance reacts with other substances, while physical properties describe characteristics that can be observed or measured without changing the substance's chemical composition.

How are chemical properties and physical properties a like?

Chemical properties are properties that describe chemical traits; for example, reactivity, acidity, and toxicity are all chemical traits; you may say they aren't obvious. A physical property describes a physical trait that has to do with state of being, and are for the mostpart obvious: state of matter, color, odor, shape, melting/freezing point, density, etc.
