Ag+1 PO4-3 ----> these are the ions and their charges Ag+1 Ag+1 Ag+1 PO4-3 -----> the charges have to add up to zero, so two +1 silver ions are added to cancel out the one -3 phosphate ion Ag3PO4 ----> simplify
