The point at which a gas turns into a liquid is different for each substance.
Gas? Boiling temp. Solid? depends but for water freezing temp. Liquid? Well you just have to be plan dumb to think a liquid needs a temperature to become a liquid.
I depends what liquid. Water, for instance, is converted into a gas at 100˚C.
This is the melting point.
boiling
The change in state would be known as melting. Just for your information: Solid to Liquid = Melting Liquid to Gaseous = Boiling Solid to Gaseous = Sublimation Gaseous to Liquid = Condensation Liquid to Solid = Freezing Gaseous to Solid = Deposition
There are three states of matter: gas, liquid and solid. The melting point is where a solid turns to liquid. The freezing point is where a liquid turns to solid.
The physical change of a solid to a liquid at the melting point called melting.
Liquid changes to a gas is the BOILING POINT. Conversely, when a gas changes to a liquid it is the CONDENSING POINT. For a given substance in the same given conditions, the temperature of the Boiling/Condensing point is the same.
They can;liquid to gas= evapouration(boiling water)liquid to solid=freezing(ice cubes)gas to liquid= condensation(steamy bathroom windows)solid to liquid= melting(ice cubes).
Melting Point
A substance changes from a solid to a liquid at its melting point
As matter changes from solid to liquid (in other words when solid matter melts) the temperature remains constant. After all the solid has melted, the temperature of the matter may begin to rise again if the environment is warmer than the melting point of the solid.
the freezing point or melting point, depending on the direction of change.
The process in which a solid changes to a liquid is called melting.
Liquid to gas, solid to liquid, and liquid to solid
Matter changes from solid to liquid at its melting point, because this change is called melting. Freezing point is about the same as melting point, but it can be slightly lower, so melting point should always be used.
The temperature at which a pure solid changes to a liquid is the substance's melting point.
The latent heat of fusion. ____ Freezing point
The physical property of water that changes when it reaches its melting point is its state of matter. At the melting point, water changes from a solid (ice) to a liquid form.
