Are you sure the liquid of pH 3 is actually not an aqueous solution? The pH7 is probably water, which doesn't matter in the equilibrium equation. So I would say pH3 assuming the liquid was supposed to be an aqueous solution of a decently strong acid.

How does a solution with a pH of 3 compare with a pH of 2?

ph2 is more acidic than pH3. pH7 is a neutral liquid. Numbers below 7 are acidic--the lower the number, the more acidic. Numbers above 7 are alkaline--the higher the number, the more alkaline.

How many fold decreas in acidity pH4 to pH7?

There is a 1,000-fold decrease in H+ concentration when the pH increases by 3 units (pH 4 to pH 7). This is because the pH scale is logarithmic, so each unit change represents a 10-fold change in H+ concentration.

What is the approximate pH of liquid used in battery of automobiles?

If a liquid is a strong base what is the pH?

A strong base would be around from 1-3 on the pH scale.

What pH does pepsin work best at?

The optimum pH of catalase is 10. At low pH values, the protein may denature or change its structure. this may affect the enzymes ability to recognize a substrate or it may alter its polarity within a cell.

What is the pH level of liquid soap?

Different soaps have different pH balances. In choosing the right soap for yourself, look for a soap with a pH balance from 4 to 7. Soaps with a pH balance of less than 3 or more than 8 can irritate your skin.

PH values of acids?

Acids generally have a pH ranging from 1 - 6. pH 1 being the most acidic, and pH 6 being the least acidic. eg, hydrochloric acid, nitric aicd, sulfuric acid has a pH of 1. Ethanoic acid has a pH of 3.

Why is there pH in juices?

pH is not in juice. pH is a property of anything containing liquid water. pH is a very precice way of measuring how acidic or alkaline something is, with pure water being neutral at pH 7. Juices are mostly water, so they have the property of pH and are mildly acid at pH 3 to pH 6 depending on the type of juice.

What is the Scientific method of the pH scale?

The pH scale is a measure of the acidity of an aqueous solution. The acidity is the concentration of hydrogen ion H+, [H+]. pH is defined as -log10[H+] and this can be rearranged to pH= log10(1/[H+]) pH is a logarithmic measure. Look at the following for solutions of HCl a strong acid. 0.1M, pH 1 0.01 M pH 2 0.001M pH 3 pH7 is neutral. This is because in pure water there is an equilibrium H2O<-> H+ + OH- Under standard conditions the concentration of H+ in pure water is 10-7 M or (1/107)M. Taking logarithms and applying the definition pH 7 is the result.

How does a pH of 3 differ from a pH of 4?

A pH of 3 is more acidic than a pH of 4 and a pH of 4 is more alkaline than a pH of 3. The pH balance of a swimming pool is about 7.6 meaning it is neither acidic or alkalinic, it is neutral!

An unknown liquid was tested with universal indicator and gave a deep red colourwhat can you say about the liquid?

The deep red color from universal indicator indicates that the liquid is highly acidic with a pH below 3. This suggests that the liquid is likely corrosive and can be harmful upon contact with skin or eyes. It should be handled with care and appropriate safety measures should be taken.
