Yes BF3 is soluble in water.Although its VSEPR shape is trigonal planar, which is supposed to be non-polar, the fluorine atoms, to which the Boron atom is attached, are able to form hydrogen bonds with water molecules. Therefore, BF3 is soluble in water.
None! BF3 is isoelectronic with CO32- which does have pi bonds however BF3 is also planar but pi bonds are not present. It is not an easy question to answer. Lot of work was done looking for evidence of pi bonds. The simplest answer is fluorine never forms double bonds because it is so electronegative its p orbitals are the wrong shape and enerrgy.
The boron atom in BF3 has sp2 hybridization.
A boron trifluoride (BF3) molecule has a trigonal planar shape. This means that the boron atom is at the center with three fluorine atoms arranged symmetrically around it in a flat, triangular shape.
The chemical formula for boron fluoride is BF3.
The shape of this molecule is Trigonal Planar. this is because it has no lone pairs of electrons so it maintains a 2D shape.
It would be trigonal planar, with bond angles of 120º.

The Valence shell electron pair repulsion, or VSEPR is a simple technique for predicting the shape or geometry of atomic centers. The VSEPR formula is used in small molecules and molecular ions.

The boron atom in BF3 has sp2 hybridization.
The molecular shape of BF3 is trigonal planar. It has three bonding pairs of electrons and no lone pairs around the central boron atom, resulting in a flat, triangular arrangement.

BF3 because i have both and BF3 is very realiastic, has many interactive objects like vehicles, the online is very nice. MW3 is almost cartoony compared to BF3 and MW3 is just like the other COD's and gets boring. its predictable. I like BF3 way more. :)
The chemical formula for boron fluoride is BF3.
bf3 all the way Jokes Mw3 is way better
