Simply put, life needs these elements to survive. Plant life cannot survive without Co2 ( Carbon Dioxide ). Plant life absorbs Co2 and releases O ( Oxygen ) as a bi-product. Animal life ( including humans ) cannot survive without O. We absorb the O and release Co2 as a bi-product. It is a win-win situation for life on planet Earth. Think of it as scratching natures back while it scratches yours. We need plants just as much as they need us. If animals weren't around to absorb the Oxygen, the atmosphere would become over saturated with it. This would effectively kill off plant life. If plants weren't around to absorb the Carbon Dioxide, the atmosphere would become over saturated with it. This would effectively kill off animal life as well as cause a Global Warming epidemic.

What does burning use to produce carbon dioxide - OXYGEN or CARBON?

Both carbon (or a carbon compound) and oxygen are used in the formation of carbon dioxide, which contains both elements.

Carbon dioxide is changed into carbon-containing foods by the process of what?

Photosynthesis. During photosynthesis, plants use sunlight to convert carbon dioxide and water into glucose (sugar) and oxygen. This process is essential for producing food for plants and providing oxygen for other living organisms.

What role do carbon dioxide play in the carbon dioxide oxygen cycle?

Carbon dioxide plays a crucial role in the carbon dioxide-oxygen cycle. Plants absorb carbon dioxide during photosynthesis to produce oxygen as a byproduct. This process helps to maintain the balance of carbon dioxide and oxygen in the atmosphere, supporting life on Earth.

How carbon dioxide creates oxygen?

Carbon dioxide does not create oxygen. Rather, plants and other photosynthetic organisms use carbon dioxide, water, and sunlight to produce oxygen during the process of photosynthesis. In this chemical reaction, carbon dioxide is converted into carbohydrates, releasing oxygen as a byproduct.

How is carbon dioxide split into carbon and oxygen?

Carbon dioxide is split into carbon and oxygen through a process called photosynthesis, which occurs in plants. During photosynthesis, plants use sunlight to convert carbon dioxide and water into glucose (sugar) and oxygen. The carbon from the carbon dioxide is incorporated into the glucose, while the oxygen is released into the atmosphere as a byproduct.

What do plants use that consumers breathe out?

We breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide. Plants take in this carbon dioxide and release oxygen, which we use after that.

Does a plant use oxygen to make carbon dioxide during a photosynthesis?

No, they use carbon dioxide to make oxygen.

Can plants provide carbon dioxide to animals?

Plants do not produce carbon dioxide for animals. Instead, plants absorb carbon dioxide during photosynthesis and release oxygen as a byproduct. Animals then use this oxygen for respiration, producing carbon dioxide as a waste product, which is then used by plants for photosynthesis in a continuous cycle.

Do cells use carbon dioxide?

No. Animal cells use Oxygen and give off carbon dioxide as a waste product. Plant cells use carbon dioxide and give off oxygen.

Do plants use oxygen or carbon dioxide to produce food?

carbon dioxide makes oxygen which means its carbondioxide

Carbon dixode (CO2)

How do platns produce oxygen during photosynthises?

They dont use oxygen during photosynthesis. They use carbon dioxide. So they use carbon dioxide and produces oxygen. They convert carbon dioxide into organic compounds specially sugar using energy from the sun.

What are the plants called which fix carbon dioxide?

"fix" carbon dioxide? If turning CO2 into oxygen is what you meant. They are called plants. Better go with the green ones. They use light, CO2 and H2O as food and ends up producing O2 or oxygen.

What happens when carbon plus oxygen turns into carbon dioxide?

Plants use the carbon dioxide to make food.
