'xco3' Don't know that one!!!! . However, it you mean 'XCO3'. , then the 'X' means any metal , usually a Group '2' metal , such as calcium of magnesium . However, it is more normally written as 'MCO3' . 'M' for metal , the 'X' usually represents any halogen.
NB When writing chemical formula , single letter elemental symbols are ALWAYS a CAPITAL letter, not small/lower case. Two letter elemental chemical symbols are written , First letter is a capital letter and the second letter is small/lower case.
