Blood is both a solution and a suspension; it consists of blood plasma, red and white blood cells, and platelets.

Blood plasma is a watery solution of sugars, salts, some gasses, and various hormones and other substances that are transported via the blood. Blood cells and platelets are suspended in this fluid.

Technically, it would be more accurate to use 'blood plasma' as an example of a solution.

Technically blood is a suspension. The filtrate of the blood is a mixture of proteins and water while the white cells and blood cells are suspended within the solution.

Blood in the human body is watery, because if it was to thick it could clog up your arteries and cause a heart attack or stroke.
