I have never heard of methanic gas. If you mean methane, it is covalent, sp3 hybridised from each bond of the carbon bonding with the 1s orbital of each hydrogen
Nitrogen gas (N2) has a triple covalent bond between the two nitrogen atoms.
Iodine gas exists as diatomic molecules in the form of I2, held together by a covalent bond.
Iodine gas contains a covalent bond, where the iodine atoms share electrons to form a stable molecule.
Methanic acid is an intensely corrosive substance which exists in gaseous form. It was first discovered and named by the famous chemical engineer, Professor T. Hewitt from the university of PST (Phwoar Smell That) in Loisville Kentucky. Professor Hewitt graduated with honours in odour studies and majored in flammable human gas. He first discovered this highly flammable, stinky gas after eating one and a half subway foot-long subs and 2 tins of baked beans. (Bet he wished there were no naked flames around that day). After being released from hospital, he instigated intense investigations into this previously unknown gas. Methanic acid has the remarkable ability to turn clean copper pipe black within hours. It can reduce an air conditioner to dust within a couple of years. The aroma of methanic acid can be quite disturbing and when concentrated can produce vomiting in humans. Methanic acid is usually produced at sewerage treatment plants to destroy all metallic objects within a 1km radius. Methanic acid has been known to curl nose hairs in nasally weak humans. Prolonged exposure has been known to cause social isolation of the exposed subject due to the release of absorbed methanic acid from the skin and the subject's diminished sense of smell. Professor T. Hewitt is the only recognised expert on this little known substance and has spent extensive time researching this putrid gas. His most famous quote is "watch out for the methanic acid!". This is a timely warning for all of the human race!
The type of bond formed in oxygen gas is a covalent bond. In a covalent bond, electrons are shared between atoms, resulting in a stable molecule. In the case of oxygen gas, each oxygen atom shares a pair of electrons with the other, forming a double bond.
Covalent.
A triple bond.

Nitrogen gas (N2) has a triple covalent bond between the two nitrogen atoms.
H2O has a covalent bond between Hydrogen and Oxygen atoms. They share electrons and hence achieve noble gas configuration. The covalent bond present is a polar bond.

Mercury has no atmosphere, so there is no gas present inside it.
The bond holding the diatomic molecule of hydrogen (which exists in hydrogen gas) is a single covalent bond. This is the sharing of one electron in their 1s orbital, forming an stable electron that of helium: 1s2
A covalent bond holds two oxygen atoms together in a hydrogen gas molecule. This bond involves the sharing of electrons between the oxygen atoms, contributing to the stability of the molecule.
A nonpolar covalent bond is a type of chemical bond where two atoms share electrons equally. This typically occurs when the two atoms are the same element, or have similar electronegativities. Nonpolar covalent bonds form in molecules such as hydrogen gas (H2) or oxygen gas (O2).
