none polar More non polar bonds (c-c and c-h) compared to the polar bonds (C-O and O-H)
The formula for alcohol (ethanol) is CH3CH2OH. The OH group has a polar bond, as in water, because the oxygen atom is more electronegative than the hydrogen atom. This means the oxygen has a greater attraction for the shared electrons in the bond than the hydrogen does. The oxygen therefore carries a slight negative charge, leaving the hydrogen with a slight positive charge ie the bond is polar. The polar OH group can then form hydrogen bonds with water, allowing the two substances to mix with each other. See: http://www.elmhurst.edu/~chm/vchembook/162othermolecules.html
ethanol is more conductive (4000000pS/m while ethene is less than 100) you can say that always alcohols or ketones which are more polar tha hydrocarbons without oxygen will be more conductive.
carbonyl group does not have hydrogen, it is a carbon double bonded to oxygen. by adding a nucleophile such as H- or water you can form an alcohol in an addition reaction.
alcohols are more volatile than organic carboxylic acids (each with same number of carbon atoms).
It is polar, The chlorine is more electronegative than the carbon and thus will pull electrons towards it causing it to become more negatively charged than the carbon.
aromatic alcohols undergo resonance which stabilizes the conjugate base, in aliphatic alcohols +I effect of alkyl group increase the -ve charge in the conjugate base thus make it unstable
my eluting in more polar solvents

due to larger size of alkyl group alcohols are less polar than water and hydrogen bonding is not so strong as in water....
Alcohols are polar compounds. Now if the number of molecules is less the attraction is more and then the boiling point is high. Hence the relation.

A polar bear, especially a male, would be as aggressive or more as a black bear when it comes across to a prey.
