Solid to liquid=Melt
Liquid to solid=Freeze
Solid to gas=Dissaper
Liquid to gas=Evaporate
Changes of state refer to the physical transformations that occur when matter transitions from one state to another, such as from a solid to a liquid, a liquid to a gas, or vice versa. These changes are caused by variations in temperature and/or pressure, and involve the breaking or formation of bonds between particles. Examples of changes of state include melting, boiling, and condensation.
It is called "melting". It means that when a solid gets so hot, by the increase in Kinetic Energy that it contains, the atoms move around so much that the state of matter changes to a liquid, that is to say it undergoes a change of state. Further heating will change the liquid to a gas - another change of state.
Condensation
It is slow vapourization process. This process is called evaporation.
This is chemistry.
Physical changes.
The process in which a solid changes to a liquid is called melting.
a physical change :)
When a substance changes from one state of matter to another it is called changing its state. Temperature changes are usually the main cause of this change.
its chemical change : P
Energy is lost or gained.
When a substance changes from one state of matter to another it is called changing its state. Temperature changes are usually the main cause of this change.
When a liquid changes to a gas, that can be done by means of a slow process called evaporation, or a fast process called boiling.
chemical change, dude!
The study of properties of matter and how it changes is called chemistry.
evaporation
evaporation, freezing, condensation, sublimation, melting (this is for all states of matter)
