∙ 14y agoWhen solid sodium chloride dissolves in water, the resulting sodium and chloride ions are said to be the products. Product is a general term for any substance which results as the result of a chemical reaction. Thus, if the solution was to be boiled and the ions formed into a solid, the products and reactants would be reversed.

∙ 14y agoproducts. These ions are formed as the sodium chloride molecule dissociates into its constituent ions when dissolved in water.
Some common reactants in a chemical reaction include oxygen, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, water, and various compounds such as sodium chloride or sulfuric acid. These reactants typically undergo chemical changes when they interact with each other during a chemical reaction.
When copper chloride and hydrochloric acid are mixed, a chemical reaction occurs where copper chloride is dissolved in the acid to form copper ions and chloride ions in solution. This reaction produces a greenish solution and can also release heat.
The limiting reactant in chemistry is the reactant that is completely consumed in a chemical reaction, limiting the amount of product that can be formed. It determines the theoretical maximum amount of product that can be produced in a reaction. The amount of product formed is dictated by the amount of the limiting reactant present.
A reactant is a substance that enters into a chemical reaction and is transformed into a new product. It is present at the start of the reaction and gets consumed during the process.
Based on the chemical reaction: CaCO3 + 2HCl -> CaCl2 + CO2 + H2O Calculate the limiting reactant by converting each reactant to moles and comparing the ratios. The limiting reactant is calcium carbonate. Calculate the theoretical yield of calcium chloride using the stoichiometry of the reaction.
It is not a chemical reaction, it is only a dissociation reaction:NaCl-------------------------Na+ + Cl-
There is NO chemical reaction at all when you dissolve NaCl into water. Dissolving is NOT chemical but a physical change of state. When however a reaction occurs, the original compound is called (one of) the reactant(s) and the compound(s) formed is (are) the product(s) of a chemical reaction.
Sodium chloride doesn't react with water; after dissolution NaCl is dissociated in Na+ and Cl-.
No chemical reactions occur because sodium only forms ions like chloride.

reactant + reactant = product
If a substance is a reactant or product of a chemical reaction then, by definition, it cannot be a catalyst.

Chemical: Vinegar contains the chemical, Acetic acid. Reactant: The limiting reactant weight was used to calculate the percentage yield of the product. Product: The product was nearly pure from just washing alone, following the reaction.

endothermic reaction
reactant elements and molecules are used in a chemical reaction, they are not mixed or combined or produced in a chemical reaction.
