Zinc has been known and used since prehistoric times. Artifacts that are mostly zinc dating back to about 2500 BC have been discovered.

Zinc is the full name of the metal. Zinc is an transition element, proton number 30, Relative atomic mass about 65. However, there are loads of possible zinc compounds (zinc chemically tied to something else) such as Zinc chloride, zinc sulphate, zinc nitrate...
There are isolated examples of the use of impure zinc in ancient times (14th to 10th centuries BC) known, so the proper answer to this question is that we do not know. However, in more modern times, Zinc was distinctly recognized as a metal under the designation of Yasada or Jasada in 1374. A German chemist, Andreas Margraf is given credit for first isolating pure zinc in 1746, even though Swedish chemist Anton von Swab had distilled zinc from calamine four years before.
Zinc + hydrochloric acid = zinc chloride + hydrogen
When zinc metal is mixed with ZnCl2 (zinc chloride), a redox reaction occurs. The zinc metal will react with the zinc ions in the zinc chloride solution to form zinc atoms, while the chloride ions will remain in solution. This reaction usually results in the formation of more zinc metal and zinc chloride.

Carbon, Sulfur, Iron, Copper, and Zinc.
The element zinc has been used since ancient times, but its discovery as a distinct metal is attributed to Andreas Marggraf, a German chemist, in 1746. Marggraf was able to isolate zinc in its pure metallic form from a calamine ore.
The discovery of the Bermudas is attributed to a Spanish explorer, Juan de Bermúdez after whom the islands are named.
Several scientists were responsible for the discovery and explanation of fluorescent lighting. None of whom were Filipino.
Andreas Marggraf (1709-1782) A German scientist isolated Zinc from its minerals. He published his findings in "On the method of extracting zinc from its true mineral, calamine" in (1746). Read more about this and its history on the related link below.
Think zinc.Zinc is the way to think.
A place you go to drink zinc? No, it is an ingot of the metal zinc.
The raw material for zinc production is zinc sulfide ore, which is mined and processed to extract zinc metal.
