A coal mine is typically referred to as a coal mine.
A sinker in a coal mine is a worker responsible for drilling holes for explosives to break up rocks or coal seams. They use heavy machinery to create these holes in the mine walls or ceilings to facilitate mining operations.
Coal is to oil as mine is to minerals. Both coal and oil are fossil fuels extracted from the earth, just as minerals are extracted from mines.
Copper deposits are primarily found in the southern interior region of British Columbia, particularly in areas such as the Highland Valley Copper mine near Kamloops, the Copper Mountain mine near Princeton, and the Red Chris mine in northwestern BC near the Stikine River.
The boiling point may be higher at the base of a coal mine because of the increased pressure due to the weight of the rocks and soil above. This higher pressure leads to an increase in the boiling point of water according to the principles of thermodynamics.
