Golgi is composed of stacks of membrane-bound structures known as cisternae.

The Golgi complex gathers simple molecules and combines them to make molecules that are more complex. It then takes those big molecules, packages them in vesicles, and either stores them for later use or sends them out of the cell. It is also the organelle that builds lysosomes (cell digestion machines). Golgi complexes in the plant may also create complex sugars and send them off in secretory vesicles. The vesicles are created in the same way the ER does it. The vesicles are pinched off the membranes and float through the cell.

The nucleus is the main office of the cell. This is where plans are drafted and drawn up to make proteins. These instructions are sent to the rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER). This is the factory floor. Each work station is a ribosome. These ribosomes make the proteins. The mitochondria are the power houses. The Golgibody is the shipping department. It sends out the proteins that the cell needs. The vacuoles are the trash bins. There are parts which are brought out when needed as in cell division: centrioles and fibers.

What is the The Golgi apparatus?

Well the Golgi apparatus is an organelle that receives, sorts, modifys, and dispatches protein! its not golbi apparatus .its Golgi apparatus. it is the cell organelle found in a eukaryotic cell .it was first reported by camillo Golgi[Italian scientist]. these are also called as dictyosomes,Golgi bodies or Golgi complex.its main function is to package and process the macromolecules like proteins.
