In 1878, Marc Delafontaine and Jacques-Louis Soret discovered the characteristic spectroscopic absorption lines of a new element they called Element X. Later that year, Per Teodor Cleve independently discovered Holmium through chemical separation techniques from the mineral erbia earth. The three are credited with the discovery of Holmium.
Holmium was discovered by Per Theodor Cleve ,who was a Swedish chemist. This element was discovered in the year of 1879. Per Theodor Cleve lived to be 65 years old from 1840 to 1905. He was a Swedish chemist who went to the Uppsala University. He got his P HD in 1863.He named the element after his birthplace, Stockholm, Sweden. He discovered the element on accident.

Holmium is a rare earth metal.
Holmium actually has the highest magnetic strength out of all known elements given it is first submersed in an artificially produced magnetic field.
Holmium has not a taste or an odor.
Holmium (Ho) is a member of the lanthanides family.
Holmium (Ho): 176 picometers or 0.176 nanometers.

Holmium's abreviation is Ho
Holmium has not a taste or an odor.
Holmium simply does not have a smell
Lithium is an element, however "Holmium" is not you may be mistaking Holmium for Helium though
The symbol for holmium on the periodic table is: Ho
Holmium's atomic mass is 164.93032.
Holmium is in the lanthanoid series.

Yes holmium has a low level of acute toxicity.
